Life can be full of challenges. Being a woman can bring even more turmoil to that mix. As a wife, mom, friend, co-worker, volunteer or whatever other hats you may wear, we are constantly playing the comparison game. I don't really know who started this comparison trap. Maybe it was a misperception or a misconception, maybe it was a standard created by the world we live in. Whatever it was, women for decades have struggled with comparing themselves to each other. I am in a fight to destroy that comparison trap. I believe that God created each of us with such unique purpose and ability. It's sometimes easier to get caught up in seeing the negative in ourselves rather than fighting to see the positive. You may not be the PTO mom, but instead you're the mom who welcomes your kids home from school each day with a smile. You may not have gotten the promotion at work that you so deserved, but you are the employee that everyone knows can be counted on. For the hundreds of different scenarios and criticisms we could bring on ourselves (and there are a lot), it's so important in this life to find a tribe of women who will encourage, support and lift you up. I hope that as you travel through this blog with me, I can be a part of your tribe. You are loved. You are valued. You are enough.
