Have you ever looked at another mom, wife or friend and thought, "sheesh, I wish I had it all together like her?" Well, I'm here to inform you that most women don't have it all together, and HEY! I'm one of them who doesn't. Life is full of ups and downs, so let's support each other and do life together!

Week one down and in the books. If you're new here, I started a chemo pill this week. If you've been on this journey with me, I want to reiterate, I started a chemo pill this week. I say this twice because, well, it's kind of a big life event that's happening for me right now. Not only did I start my chemo pill, but like most of my friends, we started homeschooling our kids, we've upped our social distancing game even more and we've become trapped inside our houses with our families, given no choice. Of course, that doesn't all have to be negative, but let's be honest, there's really been a lot happening all at once! As most people are adjusting to their new norms, I find myself just living one day at a time. That's really been my motto since day 3 of this whole cancer thing. I make a choice each day to just focus on the present. Totally outside of who I am as an Enneagram type 6 but hey, I'm a work in progress. I'm saying all this to mostly point out that with the current world we're living in, we are being forced to live day by day, hour by hour and I think that's ok! It's a constant choice to see the bright side of things. Instead of viewing your homeschooling situation as a pain in your butt that you weren't trained to do, consider it to be an opportunity to pour into your kiddo. Instead of viewing it as being forced to stay at home, consider it a time to slow down and actually finish the things you started. And finally, instead of viewing your current reality as negative, spend time asking God what He wants you to seek and find during this season. There has to be something good that comes out of this all. Maybe it will be that you create new memories with your kids. Maybe you'll actually get to spend time reading your Bible or listening to worship music. Hey! Hey! Maybe you won't be infected with COVID-19 (insert shoulder shrug). I just hope that wherever you find yourself in this scenario that you take it one day at a time. Show grace to those around you. And remember, I am telling myself these things daily because I know I'm not alone and we're in this together.

Raise your hand if you haven't worn jeans in over three weeks! Not just me, right? The struggle has been real to put actual clothes on but I made the decision to do my best each day, even if in comfy clothes, to get myself dressed and prepared for quarantine. Doing my hair, putting on a little makeup and getting dressed has been huge for my mood and my attitude. Who cares if I'm only seeing my hubby and kids? It makes me feel confident! So with that being said, I decided to compile a week of my "comfy" outfits for you.

I'm just going to let you know, you'll be seeing these slippers multiple times. Part of the quarantined uniform, what can I say?

Shirt and joggers from Walmart. Comfortable and stylish. My kids gave me a 10/10! They are my hardest critics these days.

These camo joggers are currently one of my favs to wear and I shopped local which is even better! They are a great transition from Spring to Summer and go great with anything from a tank to a graphic tee to a sweatshirt!

(also note, said slippers again) I also linked the terry sweatshirt here from Target!

This outfit was inspired by a lack of clean clothes. -insert facepalm- But in all honesty it's been great to "shop my closet." I think sometimes we get into the rut of wearing the same things over and over and forget we have other great pieces to contribute to our daily wardrobes. This shirt is very old but the ribbed sweater is from FabFitFun. Check it out!

Day 4, I added some socks to my slipper game. Got to be wild somehow, right? These leggings came Wednesday and I was so pumped to wear & share them. I've recently discovered The Pink Lily Boutique. They always offer a discount and have great quality clothing. Shirt is from TJMaxx and another "shop my closet" special.

This may have been my favorite, most comfortable outfit of the week. I had a lot of homework to get done and it was the perfect thing to get me through the day. I also have my new Gimme Beauty hair ties in for a quick, half-up pony. Click on the hyperlink and you can get a 1-month FREE trial on me!

Joggers are one of my favs and a great neutral that isn't black. They're also on sale so grab them quick before they're gone!

When things get back to normal this whole idea of comfy style may seem like a waste of time, but for now, I'm making the best of my quarantined days. I think it's so important that we find the positives that we can enjoy and things that make us feel good about how we're starting our days. So until next week's edition of "Comfy Trends of Quarantine", I hope you all stay happy and healthy!

Last night I was scrolling through my phone, kind of bored and I decided to click on my calendar. It was a weird moment as I looked day by day and saw absolutely nothing on the calendar. This may come as a surprise to some, but our calendar typically has multiple events on it each day. Of course, if you know me, you know I'm being sarcastic in saying that, but on an average week, we find ourselves only having one evening open and usually it's Wednesday. In the past, that may have been the only time we would eat dinner together as a family or have had an opportunity to spend quality time on homework or projects. The rest of the days and evenings Robert and I found ourselves (with the help of my mom) conquering and dividing in order to get kids to where they needed to be. Did you notice I didn't mention anything about quality time with each other, as a family? That's because it has been few and far between that we had that time or even had the energy to spend that time with each other or the kids. This whole Coronavirus has made me realize that we have needed to SLOW DOWN for quite some time. It's really sad that we have been so consumed in our busy schedules that we haven't prioritized time for our family. I'm sure a lot of people are feeling this right now. I've seen some be grateful for this quarantine and I've seen some be....well let's just say non-compliant and angry. Whichever way YOU choose to look at it, I wanted to make sure and share my thankfulness for this stay home order. I have had an opportunity to spend quality time with my kids and husband. I've been able to watch TV (which I never really do). I've been able to write my blogs and share with you all, not feeling the pressure of doing a million other things. We've cooked more. Stayed up on laundry. Taken a lot of walks. Allowed the kids to do crafts that are time-consuming and messy (*insert anxious laugh*). Ultimately we have just been able to enjoy life in a better headspace. I hope that as you handle this pandemic in your own way, you will at least take time to slow down and enjoy what's around you.
